VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY: R.S. ANDREWSWhether you love golf or have a heart for the community, volunteering at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure is an experience like no other in sports. We rely on commitments from 450+ volunteers to put on a successful event. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and have the opportunity to serve on one of 20+ committees with different functions. No matter your background or knowledge of golf, there is a committee for you!
SCORING
Walking Scorers
Walk 18 holes inside the ropes with a group of professional golfers during competition rounds, keeping their score and tracking specific statistics. Using a handheld device with PGA TOUR scoring software, scorers input stroke, scoring, and statistical data in real time and stay in constant voice communication with PGA TOUR staff.
REQUIREMENTS:Mandatory Instructional Session (TBD). Ability to walk 18-hole golf course and operate issued equipment. Work all official tournament rounds. Have a good understanding of the rules of golf and golf etiquette along with a professional appearance and attitude. Committee Minimum Age: 18

SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Friday – Sunday (new volunteers will be required to work Thursday as a practice round)

Standard Bearers
Ideal for youth volunteers, this is a physically active role that involves walking the course while accompanying a group professionals during play. Volunteers will carry and update a standard displaying each player’s score in relation to par on a cumulative basis. A basic understanding of golf scoring is helpful but not required.
REQUIREMENTS: Able to carry the standard (weighing approximately 6lbs.) thru the round. Ability to walk 18-hole golf course. Committee Minimum Age: 13

PGA TOUR Live Spotters
Walk with a group of players and relay information to the PGA TOUR Live production team, drive air personalities around the course (limited positions).
REQUIREMENTS: Experienced golf knowledge; ability to communicate clearly, timely, and precisely over radio; physically able to walk 18 holes in any weather element. Committee Minimum Age: 25

SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Friday thru Sunday – must be available for all 3 days.
WORKING HOURS: Shift times may vary each day and are determined by PGA TOUR Live needs.
Drive Recorders
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to walk on and off the fairway, operate a headset, clear speech, and good listening skills. Work all official tournament rounds. Mandatory Information Session (TBD). Committee Minimum Age: 18

MARSHALS
Driving Range
Committee will assist with setup and tear-down of the practice area -driving range, putting and chipping greens, and nearby spectator zones. Duties include managing operations, updating nameplates and signage, distributing balls, assisting players, and controlling access for galleries, players, and officials.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Committee Minimum Age: 18

Hole Marshals
Committee will provide gallery control to a specific hole for the duration of the event.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk 2 – 3 holes of the golf course unassisted. Committee Minimum Age: 18

HOSPITALITY
Hole #10 and #11
Committee will provide a welcoming experience to credentialed individuals. Greet guest, check credentials, scan tickets, provide wristbands, and ensure only properly credentialed individuals are admitted. This committees focus is guest experience and access control along with assisting Marshals with noise control during play.
REQUIREMENTS: Standing for long periods of time. Committee Minimum Age: 18

Committee will provide a welcoming experience to credentialed individuals. Clubhouse Marshals
Ensure a welcoming experience by managing access to the clubhouse areas for credentialed individuals. Support Marshals in maintaining appropriate noise levels near the golf course. Assist and provide excellent service to all hospitality patrons.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand for 1 – 2 hours at a time. Committee Minimum Age: 18

Spectator Information
Committee members are among the first to welcome guest to the Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure, helping to ensure a positive experience. Committee will check tickets and credentials for entry, distribute spectator and pairings guides, and provide information on directions, pairings, special events, and more to both spectators and sponsors.

Hospitality Transportation
Committee will provide ADA shuttle transportation to patrons with disabilities who hold hospitality tickets for holes #17, #18, and the Clubhouse. As well as to the 10th Tee, and the Driving Range using multi-passenger golf carts.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive a golf cart. Minimum age is 21 years.

Green Team
The Green Team presented by MGM Products, Inc. engages fans and participants in sustainability initiatives throughout the event, encouraging eco-friendly practices like recycling. Their mission is to educate and inspire attendees to make environmentally responsible choices, both at the venue and beyond.
REQUIREMENTS: Enthusiastic, approachable, comfortable interacting with fans and standing or walking for extended periods. Committee Minimum Age: 18

TOURNAMENT SERVICES
Caddie Services
Committee assist with caddie registration, issuing and collecting bibs with nameplates, and ensuring clean towels and bibs are available for Pro-Am and official rounds. Also help maintain the caddie space and provide a comfortable space for caddies to relax throughout the week. Shuttle van driving is required Monday – Thursday.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License. Committee Minimum Age: 25

Golf Carts
REQUIREMENTS: Drive a golf cart, check and fill gas tanks. Valid Driver’s License. Committee Minimum Age: 21
WORKING CONDITIONS: Assignment is outdoors, perhaps in the sun and heat.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Pre-Tournament, Tournament Week, and Post-Tournament.
WORKING HOURS: Morning shifts may begin as early as 5:00 am. Evening shifts may end as late at 8:00 pm.
On-Course Refreshments and Publications
Committee will place fruits, snacks, beverages, and ice in coolers at various locations around the course for the golfers. Place spectator and pairings guides at various locations during the tournament.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 40lbs. and operate a golf cart. Valid driver’s license required.

Pre / Post-Tournament Operations
Committee will set-up / tear-down of all tables, chairs, and other items. Applying mesh to fences and other areas as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 40lbs, operate a golf cart, and drive a pick-up truck. Valid Driver’s License. Committee Minimum Age: 21

PLAYER SERVICES
Player Services
Register players, collect entry fees, and provide any other services needed during tournament week.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License. Committee Minimum Age: 25
WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor / Outdoor, perhaps in the sun & heat.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Monday – Sunday*
WORKING HOURS: 7:00 am-12:30 pm and 12:30 pm-6:00 pm, daily.

Player Transportation
Committee will assist with the transportation needs of the players and their families by managing and assigning tournament-provided courtesy vehicles. Responsibilities include local transportation, airport pickups/drop-offs at Atlanta-area airports, and staging vehicles at the golf course prior to tournament week. Gas and airport parking costs are covered by the tournament.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License. Knowledge of EV and gas vehicles. Committee Minimum Age: 25
WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor / Outdoor, perhaps in the sun and heat.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Pre-Tournament, Tournament Week, and Post-Tournament
WORKING HOURS: Shifts available between 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Pro-Am Services
Responsibilities include managing Pro-Am registration and helping to create a smooth and welcoming experience for all amateur participants. Members will assist in Pro-Am set up, player check-in, bag drop and pick-up, and gift and photo distribution.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., stand for 4 hours at a time, and have a friendly and outgoing attitude. Committee Minimum Age: 18

Honorary Observers
Committee will assist tournament guests granted access to walk inside the ropes. Duties include (but not limited to) credential distribution, explaining guidelines, escort to #1 tee, and photo distribution.

COMMUNICATIONS
Office and Media Support
Committee will assist in general administrative duties to include (but not limited to) answering phones and questions and assisting in large mailings. Additionally, assisting the PGA TOUR Champions media officials with the registration and the welcoming of local and national journalists who are in attendance to promote the event.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to problem solve, and think logically in a fast-pasted environment. Committee Minimum Age: 18

VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Volunteer Headquarters
The committee plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment where volunteers feel appreciated and have a comfortable space to relax and dine. Committee is responsible for the operation and upkeep of Volunteer HQ during tournament week. This includes managing the volunteer check-in process, distributing meal vouchers and raffle prizes, and helping to keep snacks and beverages stocked.

Volunteer Radio Operations
Committee is responsible for distributing, retrieving, and recharging all handheld radios issued to volunteers each day. Additionally, they will monitor all radio channel transmissions to answer or redirect questions and share information as needed.

Uniform Distribution
Committee will inventory, organize, and distribute all volunteer apparel and credentials. Manage uniform distribution areas, apparel sales, as well as exchanges and returns.

Volunteer Shuttles
Drive 12-passenger vans from the volunteer parking lot to Volunteer Headquarters and designated stops around the golf course.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License. Committee Minimum Age: 25
