DULUTH, GA (October 26, 2025)The Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure today announced the release of its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the tournament’s continued leadership in driving environmental stewardship, social impact, and economic growth across Gwinnett County and the greater Atlanta region.

Building on the foundation of its inaugural 2024 report, the 2025 edition highlights key initiatives in waste reduction, renewable energy adoption, community giving, and inclusive programming. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the report showcases how the tournament integrates sustainability into every facet of its operations — from event planning and resource management to community partnerships and charitable contributions.

Key achievements include:

  • Deployed 180 recycling receptacles throughout the course to make waste diversion easy for fans;
  • Diverted 29,233 pounds of aluminum and plastic from local landfills;
  • Composted 6,640 pounds of organic material from back-of-house food preparation and catering;
  • Recycled and repurposed 9,100 pounds of event materials, including 4,000 pounds of polymer mesh and 5,100 pounds of synthetic turf, converting them into alternative fuel;
  • Launched the Birdies Fore Trees initiative, planting 7,900 trees in partnership with One Tree Planted, funded by Solvo and UCB;
  • Expanded clean energy access with three solar-powered charging stations in partnership with Georgia Power and showcased Cadillac electric vehicles to promote sustainable transportation;
  • Hosted an e-waste recycling event with The Junkluggers of Atlanta Metro East, safely diverting 505 pounds of electronics;
  • Funded 17.5 scholarships for families of fallen or disabled service members through Folds of Honor Friday, presented by SAIA LTL Freight;
  • Delivered inclusive programming such as Girls Got Drive™, GSGA Adaptive Golf Clinic, Executive Women’s Day, and FCA Gameday, inspiring youth and advancing diversity in golf.

“Our sustainability initiatives go far beyond the golf course,” said Ashley Hamilton, Sr. Tournament Director. “We’re proud to lead with purpose, reducing our environmental impact, investing in our local economy, and creating programs that inspire and empower our community. This report celebrates the partnerships, innovation, and shared values that make the Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure more than just a golf tournament.”

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure has a longstanding commitment to sustainability, with on-course initiatives such as extensive tree revegetation and water conservation programs that preserve the natural landscape of TPC Sugarloaf. Fans have also benefited from environmentally conscious practices, including digital ticketing and digital spectator guides, which reduce paper use year after year. In addition, reusable signage and the use of compostable plates and utensils by food and beverage partners have become meaningful, consistent practices that minimize waste and set a standard for sustainable event operations.

In 2025, the tournament further strengthened this approach with sustainable gifting, thoughtfully selecting items that emphasize durability, responsible sourcing, and measurable environmental impact. From curated, eco-conscious gifts to supply chain decisions that reduce waste and encourage reuse, sustainability is woven into every layer of the tournament’s planning and execution, reflecting a deep, top-to-bottom commitment to long-term stewardship.

The full 2025 Sustainability Report includes detailed metrics, SDG alignment, and stories highlighting the tournament’s efforts to preserve natural resources, strengthen local communities, and support economic growth across the Atlanta region.
